The Provincial Treasury and Assessment offices of Iloilo province bagged the major awards in the 4th Quarter Conference-Workshop and Year-End General Assembly of the Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors in Region VI (Regata VI) in collaboration with the Bureau of Local Government Finance Regional Office VI (BLGF VI) held at Sampaguita Gardens, New Washington, Aklan last December 6, 2017.
Iloilo province received three more ambulances from Medipeace, a non-government organization from South Korea, on
ILOILO – Medipeace, a global healthcare non-government organization based in South Korea, has completed its donation of ambulances for 12 district hospitals here.
Medipeace President Dong Youb Suh and Representative Hyemi Kim turned over the key of the last three ambulances for Iloilo during the flag-raising raising ceremony held at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol parking area on December 11.

ILOILO – In gratitude of their dedication to service, over 5,000 volunteer workers here have started to receive their cash gift from the provincial government over the weekend.
Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. authorized the release of the cash gift amounting to P56.1-million through Executive Order 380 issued on December 4, 2017.
Receiving P4,000 each, the volunteer workers are composed of Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Service Point Officers, Day Care Workers, and Barangay Nutrition Scholars in 1, 721 villages in the province.
The awarding ceremony, which gave recognition to local government units (LGU) and key players in the implementation of nutrition programs, was held on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Casa Real de Iloilo.
Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr., who chairs the PNC, led the giving of plaques, certificates and cash incentives to the lucky awardees.
The municipality of Concepcion and the City of Passi won first runner up and second runner up, respectively.
Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. inaugurated last Wednesday (December 6, 2017) the rainwater harvesting system in Pavia National High School (PNHS). The rainwater harvesting system is a project of the provincial government through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO).

ILOILO – Christmas is finally in the air here at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol now that the whole building is decorated with Christmas lights, lanterns and festive symbols.
Dancing light-emitting diode bulbs and parols envelop the historic Casa Real de Iloilo and the surroundings of the new Capitol building attracting city residents and local tourists at night.
The compound is open until 10:00 PM since the ceremonial switching on of lights and giant Christmas tree on December 4, 2017.
