ILOILO – Couples having a hard time together can soon find guidance on how to keep their relationship intact in six selected towns here.
Dubbed as the “Multipurpose Counseling and Family Development Center” (MCFDC), this new project will be pilot tested in the towns of Oton, San Miguel, Alimodian, Cabatuan, Dueñas and Concepcion starting this year.

Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. and Estancia Mayor Rene Cordero cut the ribbon to officially open the Teen Hive teen center in Estancia National High School (ENHS) last March 31, 2017. Teen Hive is the 45th multi-purpose teen center established in major secondary schools in the province. Assisting them in the ribbon-cutting were Provincial Population Office (PPO) chief Ramon Yee and ENHS principal Marilyn Dolendo.

ILOILO -- The rural heath unit in San Miguel applied for accreditation from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) almost a year ago yet until now it is still unapproved.
The problem was believed to be among the factors contributing to the congestion of Aleosan District Hospital in Alimodian, town of Iloilo, since cases which could have been handled by the rural health unit were referred to the hospital.
Five multi-purpose teen centers in Iloilo province will serve as pilot areas for the Tech4Ed program of the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO). A memorandum of agreement was signed by ICTO representative Frederick Almores, Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. and Department of Education-Iloilo representative Ruben Libutaque for the said project on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Tech4Ed will give communities access to information, communication, technology, and government services.
