Six municipalities in Iloilo province were conferred the Seal of Good Education Governance by the Synergeia Foundation recently.

One hundred nineteen public schools in 32 municipalities in the province received financial assistance from the Iloilo provincial government through the Provincial School Board (PSB) chaired by Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. The financial assistance totalling P33,874,944.73 ranges from P60,000 to P1,000,000 depending on the project proposal submitted by the recipient schools.
Passi National High School (PNHS) community thanked Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. for officially donating a seven-hectare lot to the school. As a gesture of gratitude to Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr., they have put up a marker signifying the donation.

The new beneficiaries, composed of third year and fourth year college students, are taking up courses in agriculture, forestry and fisheries at the different state colleges and universities in the province. They are receiving monthly stipends and other allowances from the provincial government.

Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. released a total of P15,134,999 million for various school projects in the province on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He distributed the checks to recipient schools, received by their respective principals and officials, in a ceremony held at Casa Real de Iloilo.
A total of 60 public schools -- 29 elementary and 31 secondary -- were recipients of the funds, where each school were given an amount depending on the project proposals they submitted.

ILOILO – Public schools that have been destroyed by typhoons in the past could continue the reconstruction, repair and improvement of their facilities with P12.3-million budget released on Monday. Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. released the fund in check to repair 45 elementary schools (P7.2-million) and seven secondary schools (P1.4-million) in five congressional districts here.
