Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. released a total of P14,674,500 as financial assistance for various programs and projects to 13 municipalities covering 174 barangays of the province on Monday, May 15, 2017.

ILOILO – Three local construction firms are vying for the concreting of 4.4-kilometer Poblacion-Bacay Road in Dumangas during its recent public bidding in Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
Of the three, G. Uy Construction submitted the lowest bid of P6,775,500, followed by MarchPhil Construction (P6,801,272) and J EG Construction Firm Corp. (P6,821,292).
The lowest bidder will undergo a post-qualification evaluation this week to determine if it met the requirements under the Government Procurement Reform Act.
ILOILO – The rehabilitation and concreting of farm-to-market (FMR) road that will serve over 15,000 residents in remote barangays of Tigbauan has secured clearance from the Environmental Management Bureau-Region 6.
EMB-6 Regional Director Atty. Jonathan Bulos approved the issuance of Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) for Parara-Jamog FMR that will pass through Barangays Parara Norte, Parara Sur, Bagacay, Dorong-an, Buenavista, Bayuco, Binaliuan Mayor, Binaliuan Minor, Sermon, Dapdap, Taro, and Jamog, all in Tigbauan.
Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. released a total of P15,134,999 million for various school projects in the province on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. He distributed the checks to recipient schools, received by their respective principals and officials, in a ceremony held at Casa Real de Iloilo.
A total of 60 public schools -- 29 elementary and 31 secondary -- were recipients of the funds, where each school were given an amount depending on the project proposals they submitted.

ILOILO — Over P10.01-million worth of financial assistance from its 20% Internal Revenue Allotment has been released by the provincial government for the construction of various community development projects in 24 towns here.
PASSI CITY, Iloilo — Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala and Governor Arthur D. Defensor, Sr. are leading the groundbreaking ceremony here today (July 21) for the country’s biggest and longest farm-to-market road project in the Visayas. The laying of time capsule for the rehabilitation of 28-kilometer Imbang Grande-Tagubong-Gemumua Agahon-Agtabo road in Passi City is a project under the Philippine Rural Development Program.
ILOILO – The provincial government here will now implement the construction of the 28-kilometer farm-to-market road which will pave the way for the development of Passi City. This developed after Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. issued the notice for the contractor to proceed to the clearing and construction of the longest farm-to-market road in Western Visayas on Monday.
