Defensor Leads Ground Breaking for 8.3 km Mina-Pototan Road

Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr., Mina Mayor Rey Grabato, Pototan Mayor Tomas Peñaflorida, DILG provincial director Teodora Sumagaysay and Provincial Administrator Raul Banias led the groundbreaking ceremony for the concreting of the 8.3-kilometer Talibong-Yugot-Nabitasan-Naslo road held in front of Mina National High School in Brgy. Bangac.

DILG gave Iloilo province a grant of P413 million this year for the CMGP. Iloilo province availed of the grant because it has consistently obtained the Seal of Good Local Governance and it has complied with the requirements set by the agency.

Concreting Project in Calinog Kicks Off

Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. led the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of 12.4-kilometer concrete road from Brgy. Cabugao to Brgy. Tuyongan in Calinog, Iloilo on Friday, October 27, 2017.
The project is part of the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) for road repair, rehabilitation and improvement by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

CCC Highway Consultants courtesy call

Officials of state-owned CCC Highway Consultants of China make a courtesy call at the Governor's office on Wednesday (September 6, 2017) with Provincial Administrator Raul Banias (right) welcoming them. The group is in Iloilo to conduct a pre-feasibility study on the proposed bridge that would link Iloilo and Guimaras provinces. CCC Highway Consultants is a prestigious company that has built hundreds of major bridges and highways in China and in other parts of Asia, among which the recently completed 29.6 km. Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao link project and the 36 km. Hangzhou Bay Bridge.

DILG Funds Rehab of 4 More Provincial Roads

Four more provincial roads in Iloilo totaling 30.966 kilometers are up for rehabilitation under the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. disclosed during the Provincial Development Council (PDC) meeting on Tuesday (May 30, 2017) that the DILG already endorsed to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) the release of P413,885,031.05 for the implementation of the projects.
