Concreting/Rehabilitation of various provincial roads and bridges
Four more provincial roads in Iloilo totaling 30.966 kilometers are up for rehabilitation under the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. disclosed during the Provincial Development Council (PDC) meeting on Tuesday (May 30, 2017) that the DILG already endorsed to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) the release of P413,885,031.05 for the implementation of the projects.

ILOILO – Three local construction firms are vying for the concreting of 4.4-kilometer Poblacion-Bacay Road in Dumangas during its recent public bidding in Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
Of the three, G. Uy Construction submitted the lowest bid of P6,775,500, followed by MarchPhil Construction (P6,801,272) and J EG Construction Firm Corp. (P6,821,292).
The lowest bidder will undergo a post-qualification evaluation this week to determine if it met the requirements under the Government Procurement Reform Act.
ILOILO – The rehabilitation and concreting of farm-to-market (FMR) road that will serve over 15,000 residents in remote barangays of Tigbauan has secured clearance from the Environmental Management Bureau-Region 6.
EMB-6 Regional Director Atty. Jonathan Bulos approved the issuance of Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) for Parara-Jamog FMR that will pass through Barangays Parara Norte, Parara Sur, Bagacay, Dorong-an, Buenavista, Bayuco, Binaliuan Mayor, Binaliuan Minor, Sermon, Dapdap, Taro, and Jamog, all in Tigbauan.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is proposing to fund P667.5 million worth of road concreting projects in the province of Iloilo for 2017 under its Kalsada program.
