One hundred and six (106) local companies, 8 bpos, and 33 recruitment agencies showed up during the event offering a combined 14,000 job vacancies and job orders to 1,397 male and 1,560 female jobseekers for a total of 2,957. One hundred amd ten (110) applicants were hired on the spot (HOTS) mostly for local BPOs, malls, hospitals, and real estate companies, including 21 successful applicants to be deployed overseas.

Ms. Ana May Duran-Ledesma, Human Resource manager of Home Credit Consumer Finance Philippines Corp., thanks Gov. ILOILO Public Employment and Service Office (Peso) bested six other nominees for the Best Peso National Award during the recently-concluded 16th National Peso Congress held in Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Cebu City.
Francisco Heler, the chief of the Peso of the Iloilo Provincial Government, did not expect his office to win in 2016 National Search for Best Peso.
The other nominees for the award were Pesos in Agusan Del Sur, Tarlac, La Union, Rizal, Cebu, and Davao del Norte.
The Public Service Employment Office (PESO) of the Iloilo provincial government was chosen as a nominee for the Best PESO Award under the First Class Province Category in the upcoming 16th National PESO Congress. This was learned from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bureau of Local Employment director Dominique R. Tutay who wrote a letter informing Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. of the development.
