Investors who want to put up their business in Iloilo province are now assured of full support and guidance with the launching of the Iloilo Investment Facilitation Network (IIFN). IIFN, spearheaded by the Iloilo provincial government, is composed of 24 national government agencies (NGAs) that are in-charge of permitting, licensing, and regulatory services of the government.

New Labels, Packaging to Help Small Biz Compete

ILOILO – Micro entrepreneurs are getting much attention these days as the province develops to become business-friendly and globally competitive.

With the help of the Department of Science and Technology in Western Visayas, the Provincial Planning and Development Office, through its Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Division, is providing packaging assistance to hundreds of micro enterprises in Iloilo.

Among those who benefited from the assistance is prison guard Mayflor Cepeda of MC Food Products in Calinog, Iloilo. 

Concepcion Coal Plant gets 10-Year Tax Relief

ILOILO – Palm Concepcion Power Corporation (PCPC) is the first big-ticket investor to be given with ten-year tax relief pursuant to 2015 Iloilo Provincial Investment and Incentives Code.
The Iloilo Provincial Investments Promotion Board (IPIPB) chaired by Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. reviewed and approved the application of PCPC for tax exemption during its 1st quarterly meeting on May 11.
