A festive atmosphere marked the inauguration of Iloilo province’s 44th teen center in Batad National High School (BNHS) on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. The faculty and students presented dance and song numbers to the delight of guests especially Gov. Five multi-purpose teen centers in Iloilo province will serve as pilot areas for the Tech4Ed program of the Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO). A memorandum of agreement was signed by ICTO representative Frederick Almores, Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. and Department of Education-Iloilo representative Ruben Libutaque for the said project on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Tech4Ed will give communities access to information, communication, technology, and government services.

ILOILO — The Iloilo School-Based Multipurpose Teen Center, an innovative program that helps empower and develop teenagers into productive individuals, has been chosen as finalist to Galing Pook Award for Outstanding Local Governance Program this 2015.
ILOILO – After the project is proven effective, Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. has decided to establish a school-based multipurpose teen center in a massive scale this year. The governor has approved the release of P6.5-million for the creation of new teen centers in 21 public schools, including those that are in the island-barangays.
