The Iloilo Provincial Government through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) awarded the Municipality of Leganes as this year's Most PWD-friendly Municipality during the culminating activity for the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week at Casa Real de Iloilo on Tuesday, August 31, 2017. Defensor thanked the Latter Day Saints Charities Foundation for making the province its partner in the program which provided 600 wheelchairs to persons with disabilities in the different municipalities of the province.
