Informant, police of Prevendido slay to get P1M reward

ILOILO – Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. has ordered to grant P1-million reward to the confidential informant and arresting police team who led the successful operation against high profile criminal Richard Prevendido yesterday.

Pursuant to Executive Order 235, the reward will be taken from the province’s 2017 annual budget as part of its Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan.

Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. lauded the Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) for a successful operation against illegal drugs recently which led to the seizure of a kilo of shabu worth P6 million.
IPPO’s Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (PAIDSOTG) headed by Senior Insp. John Ryan Doceo conducted a buy-bust operation against two suspected “drug couriers” last Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, in Brgy. Tiolas, San Joaquin, Iloilo.

With the upcoming national and local elections in May this year, Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. reminded the men and women of the Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) not to engage in political activities and not allow themselves to be used by politicians. The governor made the directive during the traditional New Year’s call of the IPPO officers now led by its new provincial director Senior Supt. Roderick Augustus Alba and the 43 chiefs of police in the province at the Capitol boardroom on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
