Arthur Defensor, Sr. distributed cash incentives to the Iskolar sang Iloilo (provincial government scholars) who graduated from the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) recently.The granting of cash incentives was one of the policies set and approved by the Provincial Scholarship Management Board. Iskolar Sang Iloilo Program
Gov. Arthur Defensor gave medals and certificates to the 61 provincial government scholars dubbed as "Iskolar sang Iloilo" who graduated this year during the testimonial luncheon for the 116th foundation anniversary of Iloilo province at the Casa Real de Iloilo on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Four scholars were Magna Cum Laude graduates while 16 others obtained Cum Laude honors.
Sixty-one Iskolar sang Iloilo recipients are graduating this year. Four of them are Magna Cum Laude graduates while 16 others obtained Magna Cum Laude honors. Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. said the provincial scholars will be given fitting recognition during the Testimonial Luncheon for the 116th Foundation Anniversary of Iloilo province on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Casa Real de Iloilo.
ILOILO – The provincial government enlists 40 of its scholars in the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) giving them the chance to earn extra income during school breaks.
Those enrolled in state universities and colleges in Iloilo City will be placed in select offices at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol while those in the province will be assigned in their respective municipalities or in the nearest district hospitals.
ILOILO – The provincial government here will be accepting more scholars for the upcoming school year 2015-2016 to help poor yet deserving students earn a degree in college. Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. has ordered that the number of scholars be increased from seven to ten per district making it 50 in total.
