Arthur Defensor, Sr. turns over to Janiuay Mayor Jose Lam de Paula 35 units of android cellphones and 15 power banks to be used for the Rapid Community Based Monitoring System (RCBMS), a project under the Bottom Up Budgeting of the Department of Interior and Local Government, on Wednesday (October 18, 2017). RCBMS is an organized way of collecting information at the household and barangay level useful in the government's poverty reduction initiatives.

The beneficiaries are: Barangay Matag-ub Sitio Kinambud Farmers Association for their piglet production and marketing enterprise in in Brgy. Matag-ub, Janiuay (P185,640), Inagdangan Norte and Sur Farmers Association for their goat production in Brgy.

First to be inaugurated was the P2.2 million barangay health center in Brgy. Atimonan, a mountainous barangay in Janiuay that can be reached by foot 4 to 5 hours.
