The Public Service Employment Office (PESO) of the Iloilo provincial government was chosen as a nominee for the Best PESO Award under the First Class Province Category in the upcoming 16th National PESO Congress. This was learned from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bureau of Local Employment director Dominique R. Tutay who wrote a letter informing Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. of the development.
An Ilonggo soldier was hailed as one of the 10 awardees in this year’s search for The Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (TOPS) conducted by Metrobank Foundation and Rotary Club of Makati. Petty Officer-in-Charge Fernando Junio Parcon of the Philippine Navy joined the elite roster of Outstanding Filipinos in receiving the award during Metrobank’s 54th anniversary celebration last Sept. 5, 2016 at Metrobank Plaza, Makati City.
