Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. inaugurated the newly rehabilitated gymnasium and stage in Ardemil National High School (ANHS) in Sara, Iloilo yesterday (July 18, 2017). He went to Brgy. Ardemil, a mountainous barangay in Sara, Iloilo, despite the rainy weather to personally turn over the projects funded by the provincial government.

The projects that were inaugurated were the Barangay Tumay covered court (P1.3 million), Food Terminal (P1.5 million) at Mina Public Market, Barangay Abat concrete road (P2.9 million) and Barangay Bangac concrete road (P1.9 million). Said projects were funded by Rep. Defensor under the Lower House Infrastructure Project.
Two projects, on the other hand, were inaugurated at Mina National High School (MNHS), namely, Home Economics building (P3 million) and Flag raising area (P2 million). Gov. Defensor provided funds for the said projects.
Four more provincial roads in Iloilo totaling 30.966 kilometers are up for rehabilitation under the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. disclosed during the Provincial Development Council (PDC) meeting on Tuesday (May 30, 2017) that the DILG already endorsed to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) the release of P413,885,031.05 for the implementation of the projects.

Travelling from Concepcion town proper to Brgy. Nipa, where the 135-megawatt coal-fired power plant of Palm Concepcion Power Corp. (PCPC) is located, is now convenient and comfortable. This as the concreting of the 5.437-kilometer road undertaken by the PCPC was already completed.

One hundred nineteen public schools in 32 municipalities in the province received financial assistance from the Iloilo provincial government through the Provincial School Board (PSB) chaired by Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. The financial assistance totalling P33,874,944.73 ranges from P60,000 to P1,000,000 depending on the project proposal submitted by the recipient schools.
Passi National High School (PNHS) community thanked Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. for officially donating a seven-hectare lot to the school. As a gesture of gratitude to Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr., they have put up a marker signifying the donation.
