The Iloilo provincial government awarded the top real property and business taxpayers for the year 2016 in a simple ceremony held at the Capitol lobby on Monday, April 10, 2017. Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. along with other provincial officials distributed the plaques and certificates to the awardees.

ILOILO – Palm Concepcion Power Corporation (PCPC) is the first big-ticket investor to be given with ten-year tax relief pursuant to 2015 Iloilo Provincial Investment and Incentives Code.
The Iloilo Provincial Investments Promotion Board (IPIPB) chaired by Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. reviewed and approved the application of PCPC for tax exemption during its 1st quarterly meeting on May 11.
The Iloilo Provincial Assessor’s Office under the leadership of May Katherine Sullano was awarded as the Most Outstanding Provincial Assessment Office in the region for Calendar Year 2014.
The award was conferred by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Region VI during the Annual Pre-planning and Year-end Reassessment Performance Conference-Workshop of provincial, city and municipal assessors and treasurers and their ranking personnel held at Iloilo Grand Hotel last December 2-5, 2015.
