Balasan is a 2nd class municipality. Approximately a hundred twenty-eight (128) kilometers away from the heart of the city lies the humble Municipality of Balasan. It is the second to the last town in the northern province of Iloilo. A municipality which boast of its nature' bounty & unexplored attractions. Talking about tourism, Balasan keeps at pace with other astounding towns. Local & foreign tourist can visit the numerous water falls, which remain unexploited to this day.
Accommodation can never be a problem. Visitors may settle comfortably in pension houses and lodging houses located in the town proper. Even more fulfilling are the luscious and appetizing sea foods such as bangus, talaba, lukon, pasayan, alimango and more. And not to forget the famous Balasan Bibingka as pasalubong to your folks back home.
