Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. convened a meeting of the Provincial Disaster Cluster this morning to discuss pressing concerns affecting the province.
Among the topics tackled were the impact of the ongoing Middle East conflict on Ilonggo Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the province’s rice supply situation in relation to the implementation of Sipag at Tyaga for MoRProGRes or the rollout of rice assistance to qualified beneficiaries, and preparations for the anticipated El Niño phenomenon.
Concerned departments are now preparing concrete measures to address these emerging challenges.
