The Iloilo Provincial Government, through its Provincial Agriculture Office, participated in the National Vegetable Congress held on November 26β28, 2025 at the Tamasak Arena, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo, with the theme βπΌππππ£ππ‘ππ£π, π ππ ππππππ‘, ππππππ‘-π ππππ¦: π ππ£ππ‘ππππ§πππ π‘βπ πππππ‘ππππ πΌπππ’π π‘ππ¦ πππ π πΉπππ-ππππ’ππ π΅πππππ πππππππππ β. The three-day event covered topics addressing issues and challenges in the vegetable industry through science-based approaches, innovations, and technology sharing.
The event was organized by the POPA Agriculture Cooperative in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, the Iloilo Provincial Government, and private sector stakeholders. Delegates from various provinces across the Philippines joined this significant gathering. Several exhibitors from agriculture-based companies showcased smart and sustainable vegetable farming practices and technologies.
The Iloilo Provincial Government also set up a booth inspired by the MoRProGRes Gardens concept, anchored on Executive Order No. 640, series of 2022, issued by Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., which promotes a convergence strategy for Food Security, Agri-Tourism, and Climate Change Response.
This laudable undertaking provided a platform for the agriculture sector to once again highlight its vital role in the nationβs economy.
