Iloilo province joins the nationwide simultaneous launching of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Program today.
Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. with representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Social Welfare and Development and Department of Labor and Employment led the opening of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo at the covered walkway, Iloilo Provincial Capitol grounds.
The Kadiwa ng Pangulo (Katuwang sa Diwa at Gawa para sa Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita) was initiated by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to bring fresh produce and other local products closer to the consumers at a lower price and also serve as a market avenue or platform for our local producers.
Various exhibitors composed of Farmers' Cooperative Associations and MSME organizations are currently displaying their products at the Capitol grounds.
The public is invited to visit the display and avail of fresh fruits and vegetables, rice and other grocery products at affordable prices. The display will run until Friday, July 21, 2023.
