Over 400 young agricultural advocates from across the province gathered for the 72nd 4-H Farm Youth Provincial Achievement Day, with the Iloilo Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO) extending full support to the event.
The celebration underscored the vital role of the youth in ensuring sustainable agricultural development and rural prosperity.
Highlights included a colorful parade, turnover of the 4-H emblem, citizenship ceremony, candle-lighting rites, and skill competitions such as Debate, Quiz Bee, and Agri-Innovation Pitching.
In partnership with the Pototan Municipal Agriculture Office and the 4-H Provincial Federation, the gathering also featured inspiring messages from Vice Governor Nathalie Ann F. Debuque, Board Member Jason Gonzales, and guest speakers Mr. Mauro S. Somodio and Mr. Aldren B. Fuentes, Ed.D.
PAGRO personnel Mr. Roney Guanco, Ms. Alme Villamera, and Ms. Lourdes Defensor were on hand to provide guidance and support.
For the youth participants, the event served as a platform to showcase skills, share ideas, and strengthen their role as future stewards of Iloilo’s agricultural future.
