Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr., Provincial Health Office chief Dr. Maria Socorro Colmenares-Quiñon with Provincial Administrator Raul Banias presented the 2023 Galing Pook Award of the Province of Iloilo during the flag-raising ceremony this morning.
The province's entry "Zero to Limpyo Iloilo: Movement for a Province-wide ZOD" was one of the 10 Galing Pook awardees this year.
Gov. Defensor shared the award with all the Municipal Health Officers, Rural Health Unit personnel, Barangay Health Workers and all the other stakeholders who made the province's ZOD program a huge success.
He also thanked all the department heads and the provincial government employees for their support of the programs and projects of his administration.
"We are thankful for this award but there is still room for improvement, we will again work together for the second level of this ZOD program," Defensor said.
