The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) - Region 6 gave a Plaque of Recognition to the Province of Iloilo under the dynamic leadership of Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. in recognition of his meritorious role in launching/implementing various self-initiated programs (unique practice) related to employment facilitation.
Particularly cited were the Financial Assistance for Repatriated Overseas Foreign Workers (OFWs), Cash for Work, Provincial Internship Program, and Short-term Employment Program.
The plaque signed by DOLE-6 Regional Director Sixto Rodriguez was given during the Regional PESO Congress at Maribert Inland Resort in Pontevedra, Capiz on Sept. 5, 2023.
DOLE-6 also cited PESO-Iloilo Manager Francisco Heler, Jr. for successfully and effectively implementing the said programs.
PESO personnel Jayrel Encontro and Cynthia Dario presented the Plaque to Gov. Defensor during the flag-raising ceremony this morning.
