ILOILO TO AWARD MOST OUTSTANDING CITY MUNICIPAL POLICE STATIONS

The Iloilo provincial government is set to recognize local police stations with exemplary performance in crime reduction and in maintaining peace and order in the province.

Anchored on Provincial Ordinance No. 2025-338 authored by Board Member June Mondejar, the "Search for the Most Outstanding City/Municipal Police Stations in the Province of Iloilo” aims to assess, recognize, and incentivize top-performing police forces.

As an initial phase of the search, the Technical Working Group convened on May 26 to finalize the guidelines and criteria for the contest.

Each unit will be evaluated based on their 2025 performance on the following areas: operational functionality, effectiveness in the reduction of index and non-index crimes, community engagement strategies, and innovative practices, among others.

While non-index crimes encompass violations of Special Laws and the Revised Penal Code.
