Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and Parole and Probation Administration (PPA) joined the flag-raising ceremony of the Iloilo provincial government this morning to mark the start of the National Correctional Consciousness Week.
JSSupt Vicente Papelera, Asst. Regl Director for Operations at BJMP Region 6 and concurrent Provincial Administrator for BJMP Iloilo Province, and Chief Probation & Parole Officer Mary Josephine Molejona, Chairperson of the Iloilo Parole and Probation Offices Coordinating Center under the Department of Justice, Parole & Probation Administration R6, raised public awareness on the plight of our brothers and sisters behind bars through the weeklong celebration with the theme "Dekalidad na Programang Pang Piitan, Tungo sa Hangad na Pagbabago at Kaunlaran."
Provincial Administrator Raul Banias and Provincial Legal Office Chief Atty. Dennis Ventilacion warmly welcomed the BJMP and PPA personnel on behalf of Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr.
