Mali-ao, Leon, Iloilo last June 3, 2024, during the flag-raising ceremony this morning.

Fortunately, all of the van's 13 passengers only suffered injuries.

Given recognition were the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) personnel of Tigbauan, Alimodian, Santa Barbara, Pavia, Leon, and San Miguel; the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Iloilo City; Leon Municipal Police Station and Iloilo Police Provincial Office.

Also recognized were the Nobleza siblings, namely, Janieca, and nurses Jinky and Jessa, from Brgy. Casalsagan, Pototan, who helped attend to the rescued passengers before their transfer to different hospitals in Iloilo City.

According to Dr. Alfonso Baldonado of PDRRMO, the Nobleza siblings came from a beach outing and just went to the area upon learning of the accident to help.
