Representatives from Public Services International-Southeast Asia (PSI-SEA) and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Philippines (FES PH) visited Capitol on September 27, 2024, ahead of their FES-BWI-PSI Training of Trainers, held from September 28 to 30 at Richmond Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Leading the visit was Marie Schroeter, Resident Representative of FES Philippines, along with a team from PSI and Building and Woodworkers International (BWI).

Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. administered the oath of office for newly elected officers of the Association of Population Officers of the Province of Iloilo (APOPI) and the Federation of Iloilo Provincial Service Point Officers (FIPSPO, Inc.) in a ceremony held today at the Casa Real de Iloilo.

The joint oath-taking, facilitated by the Iloilo Provincial Population Office (PPO), underscores the commitment of both organizations to advance key initiatives in population management, responsible parenthood, reproductive health, family planning, and adolescent and youth development.

During today's Capitol Flag Ceremony, Dr. Ildefonso T. Toledo, head of the Iloilo Provincial Agriculture Office, was honoured today for being one of the 31 regional winners in the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) Search for Outstanding Government Workers.

Dr. Toledo, one of six regional winners in the Individual Category for the prestigious Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, was recognized for his exceptional contributions and impactful actions of national significance.

The Program KaTUWAng, a strategic partnership program between the Iloilo Provincial Government and the University of San Agustin in line with the implementation of the Program for Resilience of Iloilo in Mind and Emotion (PRIME) at the Teen Centers of the Province of Iloilo, has recently received the Special Mention Award at the 2024 Asia and Oceania Regional Uniservitate Awards at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan last September 25, 2024.
