NCIP COMMISSIONER CENTENA VISITS GOV TOTO

Newly-appointed National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Commissioner for Island Groups and the Rest of the Visayas Alex A. Centena paid a courtesy visit on Gov. Toto Defensor on May 30, 2025.

The former Calinog Mayor took his oath as NCIP commissioner on May 27. Joining the governor in welcoming Centena is Vice Governor-elect Lee Ann Debuque.

Governor Defensor presented to Centena the School of Living Tradition which will be constructed at Fernandez Perez Memorial National High School at Brgy. Datagan, Calinog.

PDRRMC meeting

Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. convened the members of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) to discuss the provinceโ€™s urgent measures against prevailing health emergency and disaster concerns.

Defensor ordered the Provincial Health Office and the Hospital Management Office to make sure that the provinceโ€™s healthcare system is ready to respond to the surge of dengue cases โ€“ particularly the availability of test kits, intravenous fluids, and hospital beds.
