Senator Bam Aquino praised the Province of Iloilo for its groundbreaking efforts to strengthen basic education during a courtesy visit with Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. this afternoon.

The senator, who now chairs the Senate Committee on Basic Education, was briefed on Iloilo’s flagship BES Probins (Bulig Eskwela) sang Probinsya Program initiative designed to create an effective, relevant, and transformative educational system in Iloilo.

'Hinun-anon sa Barangay' of the Public Information and Community Affairs Office (PICAO), headed by Mr. Jose Nereo Lujan, landed at the multi-purpose covered gym of Brgy. Jalaud Norte, Zarraga, Iloilo this morning.

The outreach program was attended by barangay officials, volunteers and some residents not only of Brgy. Jalaud Norte but also from the neighboring barangays of Jalaud Sur and Sigangao.

Solo parents from the five districts of Iloilo gathered to celebrate Solo Parents Day with the theme, “Solo Parents na Rehistrado sa Gobyerno, Tiyak na Suportado” at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol on July 30, 2025.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office OIC-Provincial Government Department Head delivered his speech with a heartfelt tribute to the solo parents of the province of Iloilo.

The Iloilo provincial government gathered youth development stakeholders and partners in the province to celebrate the milestones of its teen center project during the Teen Center Summit 2025 on July 31 at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City.

The gathering brought together youth leaders, educators, legislators, and other stakeholders to share their best practices in addressing prevailing youth issues on mental health and teenage pregnancy.
