Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. warmly received Her Excellency Dana Kursh, Ambassador of Israel to the Philippines, during her courtesy visit this afternoon at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

The Ambassador was joined by Consul Moti Cohen and MASHAV Officer Richelle Maulion.

Accompanying the governor in hosting Her Excellency are Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, Provincial Tourism Officer and LEDIP Center Chief Aulynn Yue Sin, and Provincial Planning Office acting head Jigger Labergue.

A proposed partnership between the Iloilo Provincial Government, the Department of Education (DepEd), and Khan Academy Philippines is set to introduce an AI-driven learning platform aimed at personalizing education for thousands of public school students.

During a presentation before the Iloilo Provincial Education Reform Group (EDCORE), the Khan Academy Philippines delegation led by its President and CEO Atty. Geraldine Acuña-Sunshine outlined a tripartite collaboration that places learners and teachers at the center.

Edmar Tacuel of Tubungan, Iloilo received a ₱20,000 cash incentive from the Iloilo Provincial Government after winning a bronze medal in the Pencak Silat Regu event at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games held in Thailand.

Representing the governor during the awarding were Provincial Administrator Raul Banias and Mr. Ray Cabarles of the Iloilo Sports Development and Management Office.

The incentive recognizes Tacuel’s achievement and the pride he brought to the province through his performance in the event.
