The Iloilo Provincial Government successfully completed the virtual validation of its nomination for Outstanding Stakeholder of Police Regional Office 6 under the leadership of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. via Zoom this morning.
Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias served as the resource speaker, joined by Ma. Celerina Marmel Caldera and Mary Rose Matucan.
During the validation, Dr. Banias discussed the Kapayapaan, Kaayusan at Katatagan Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Bagong Pilipinas or 4K for MoRProGRes framework, institutionalized through Executive Order No. 111, Series of 2025. He emphasized the province’s whole-of-government approach in strengthening peace, order, and development initiatives across Iloilo.
Recognizing the vital role of the Philippine National Police in the realization of EO 111, the Iloilo Provincial Government extended significant support to the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, particularly for operational expenses aimed at improving police services and increasing police visibility.
A total of ₱15.3 million in assistance was provided to the IPPO, covering the establishment of the Heroes Hall and the training of 26 Anti-Narcotics K9 units that will be deployed to the ports and borders of Iloilo to help interdict the entry of illegal drugs into the province.
The validators likewise expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Iloilo Provincial Government during the online validation for its continued commitment and strong partnership in promoting peace and public safety in the province.
