DRYLMH NURSES ENHANCE SKILLS FOR SAFER PATIENT CARE

Patients at Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (DRYLMH) stand to benefit from safer and more responsive healthcare as the hospital continues to strengthen the clinical competence of its nursing workforce through continuing professional education.

The DRYLMH Nursing Service Department joined the Association of Nursing Service Administrators of the Philippines (ANSAP) Iloilo Chapter Regional Mid-Year Convention 2026 and Clinical Enhancement Updates.

Carrying the theme, "Mindset Without Borders: Innovate. Care. Thrive.," the convention gathered nursing professionals from across Western Visayas to exchange knowledge, embrace innovation, and promote excellence in clinical practice.

A highlight of the convention was the scientific sessions on intravenous infusion therapy, where participants received updates on the latest evidence-based practices aimed at improving patient safety, reducing complications, and ensuring high-quality nursing care.

The training also featured discussions on clinical protocols and preceptorship, emphasizing standardized nursing procedures, effective mentoring, and continuous professional development to help nurses provide more efficient, consistent, and patient-centered services.

Hospital officials said investing in the professional growth of nurses directly translates into better healthcare outcomes, as well-trained healthcare workers are better equipped to respond to patients' evolving needs with competence, confidence, and compassion.

The participation likewise reflects DRYLMH's continuing efforts to foster a culture of lifelong learning among its nursing personnel, enabling them to keep pace with advances in healthcare and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice.
