Four district hospitals in Iloilo Province have been recognized for their exemplary efforts in promoting environmentally sustainable and safe healthcare practices.
These hospitals were declared winners of the Best Practices and Advocacy Video Presentation Contest during the Green and Safe Health Facilities Summit 2024, held in line with the Hospital Week Celebration.
The Iloilo Provincial Hospital - IPH in Pototan clinched the first prize in the Level 2 category, while the San Joaquin Mother and Child Hospital took top honours in the Infirmary category.
Meanwhile, the Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial Hospital in Guimbal and the Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Calinog won second and third places, respectively, in the Level 1 category.
The contest aimed to promote and share effective strategies for creating sustainable healthcare environments across Region 6.
The entries were evaluated based on their adherence to the Green and Safe Health Facilities Program, creativity and originality, production quality, and the impact of their message.
First prize winners received β±20,000.00 and certificates of recognition.
These awards highlight the ongoing efforts of our district hospitals to enhance patient care, support policy development, and engage their communities in sustainable healthcare practices.
