The Iloilo Provincial Government (IPG), through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) headed by Dr. Cynthia Dario, released a total of ₱1,366,400.00 to 112 beneficiaries under the Provincial Internship Program (PIP) and the Short-Term Employment Program (STEP) on July 21 and 22, 2026, at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
The PIP and STEP beneficiaries were deployed to various municipalities, partner institutions, the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, and the offices of Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members.
Prior to the payout, Labor and Employment Officer I Edzel M. Diaday and Labor and Employment Assistant Liramy Cantero conducted post-orientation and foundational skills training sessions for the beneficiaries.
Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, on behalf of Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr., encouraged the beneficiaries to complete their studies and value their education, emphasizing that the internship experience will help them build strong professional foundations.
Dr. Dario likewise urged the beneficiaries to embrace the valuable experience gained during their internship and to recognize its importance in their career development. The successful release underscored IPG’s commitment to supporting student employment and youth skill development across the province.
Through the PIP and STEP, the Iloilo Provincial Government reaffirms its dedication to empowering young Ilonggos by providing practical work experience, financial assistance, and opportunities for long-term career growth.
