FUNDS FOR WVSU RESEARCH

The Iloilo Provincial Government turned over a check incentive amounting to Php15,000.00 to the West Visayas State University (WVSU) for their research entitled “Big Data Classifier Base on the Stratified Structure Method on Bayesian Belief Network for Biomedicine Diagnosis Application” presented during the 1st Provincial Research and Innovation Forum.

This research study is integrated into a web-based application prototype that can be utilized as a support for making decisions for the medical team as a preliminary diagnosis for Breast Cancer Patient.

Releasing the check in behalf of Gov. Defensor were Executive Assistant Atty. Artem Ron Raymundo and PPDO head Valme Lujan and receiving the check for WVSU is Dr. Ryan Michael Oducado, Director University Research and Development Center, Ms. Shermie Atesora Cashier III,  Ma. Theresa S. Minor, University Research Associate I.

This initiative is part of the Iloilo Provincial Government’s ongoing partnership with state universities and higher education institutions which seeks to harness academic expertise in various disciplines to support the province’s MoRProGRes ILOILO agenda championed by Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.

By investing in research-driven solutions, the Iloilo Provincial Government continues to foster innovation that strengthens local industries, promotes environmental sustainability, and improves public service delivery.
