CAPITOL PWD SCHOLARS JOIN BATIANO RIVER CLEAN UP DRIVE

Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. and Provincial Administrator Raul Banias joined the Batiano River Clean-Up Drive in the Municipality of Oton, today, September 1, 2024.

The clean-up drive is part of RMN and iFM Iloilo’s 1st River Festival in celebration of RMN Networks’ 72nd anniversary.

Governor Defensor, a staunch environmentalist, supports this endeavour of maintaining the cleanliness of the Batiano River which is considered a river basin.

According to the Environmental Management Bureau VI, Batiano River is a waterway that originates from Brgy. Santa Clara, Oton and passes the districts of Arevalo and Molo in Iloilo City. It is approximately 17.5 kilometres in length.

Meanwhile, the Iloilo Provincial Government’s graduating PWD scholars under the PSWDO Province Of Iloilo joined the RMN and iFM Iloilo Batiano River Cleanup Drive in Oton on Sept. 1, 2024.

The PSWDO and the PWD team were led by PWD Affairs designate and Technical Assistance Division chief Ann Rapunzel Ganzon.
