The Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office- Energy Efficiency and Conservation Desk, (PGENRO EEC Desk) together with the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO), through the Department of Energy Visayas Field Office (DOE-VFO) successfully conducted the Government Energy Management Program Drivers Training for Iloilo Provincial Government Provincial Equipment Pool (Motorpool) drivers.
Engr. Chammee Jake I. Plaza gave a thorough discussion on the mandates under GEMP, highlighting importance of fuel-saving measures to reach the target 10% energy reduction under RA 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.
Mr. Rey Victor Garin, OIC Head of the EEC Desk, provided an overview on IPG’s GEMP compliance, accomplishments, and initiatives— highlighting the importance of collective effort to strengthen the implementation of GEMP.
Engr. Jose Eugene Resano, EEC Focal Person for the Provincial Equipment Pool (Motorpool) gave a resounding closing remarks, encouraging the crucial role of drivers on fuel saving.
