To conclude the Month of the Ocean, the PGENRO-Province of Iloilo joined the Coastal Clean-up at the Leganes Integrated Katunggan Eco-Park together with the BFP, MIWD, LGU-Leganes and spearheaded by MPIW in May 29, 2026.
A total of 117 kilogram of wastes collected including PET bottles, wrappers, cellophanes, bottle cups, leathers, cloths, rubbers, styrofoam, and fishing nets.
The Team also visited the Provincial Katunggan Ecological and Economic Park (ProKEEP) at So. Panus-on, Brgy. Nabitasan, Leganes, a 10-ha abandoned-unutilized and unproductive fishponds which was developed into a Coastal Greenbelt for BioCoCo (Biodiversity Conservation and Coastal) Protection.
