New Energy Nexus Philippines partners with the Iloilo Provincial Government, through its Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office- Energy Efficiency and Conservation Desk - IPG for its Iloilo leg of the Solar Community Meetup held on May 26, 2026, at the District 21 Hotel Iloilo.
IPG has been at the forefront of renewable energy, especially with the installation of rooftop Solar PVs, a significant contributor to energy efficiency and conservation.
The Solar Community Meetup focused on connecting Solar PV Stakeholders, including Solar PV installers/ businesses, potential clients, professionals, and local government units, aiming to form a network of like-minded individuals working in the Solar PV ecosystem.
Hon. Rolando “Rolly” B. Distura, Sangguniang Panlalawigan 4th District Board Member and Chairman of the Energy Committee, together with Mr. Rey Garin, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Focal Person, provided insightful discussions on advancing sustainable development in renewable energy in the Province of Iloilo.
Atty. Marissa Cereso, Director of the DOE-Renewable Energy Management Bureau, also graced the program together with Atty. Joel Y. Bontuyan of the Energy Regulation Commission- Visayas Field Office.
SCM Iloilo aims to further the just energy transition vision under Governor Arthur R. Defensor Jr.'s #MoRProGRes Iloilo.
