Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. and Provincial Administrator Raul Banias welcomed guests from Astra Zeneca led by Victor "Jay" Sepulvida, Head of Retail, Patient Access and Government Affairs of Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (Phils.) Inc., this morning.
Astra Zeneca is bringing to Iloilo province its ACT NOW for Diabetes campaign which aims to proactively combat kidney disease, as a complication of Diabetes and Hypertension, by promoting early detection by making kidney disease screening accessible to more patients.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will soon be signed between the Iloilo Provincial Government and Astra Zeneca for the program.
The group will also explore the possibility of collaborating with the Iloilo Provincial Government in its early lung cancer detection program.
