Residents of Barangay Talo-ato in San Dionisio gained easier access to much-needed healthcare after the local government unit partnered with the Iloilo Provincial Health Office to deliver essential services directly to the barangay and neighboring communities.
The outreach focused on reaching families with limited access to regular healthcare, ensuring that residents no longer had to travel far for basic medical needs.
A total of 24 beneficiaries received lipid-based nutrient supplements, while 34 families were given iodized salt to help address nutrition concerns. Medical consultations served 54 clients, while 39 individuals received dental care, including oral hygiene kits and fluoride varnish.The outreach also provided circumcision services to 15 clients and first aid and health advocacy sessions to 17 beneficiaries.
Health officials said the initiative reflects the continuing commitment of the provincial government and local officials to make healthcare more accessible, especially in underserved communities.
