The Province of Iloilo continues to strengthen community preparedness and disaster resilience through a four-day Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid Training for Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (MDRRM) responders and Provincial Civil Force (PCF) personnel, in San Dionisio, Iloilo.
The training aimed to enhance the capacity of local responders to provide immediate and effective life-saving assistance during emergencies and disasters.
Participants were equipped with vital skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound management, fracture immobilization, and emergency scene assessment, among others.
By reinforcing the competence and coordination of frontliners, the activity marks a significant step in the province’s ongoing efforts to build disaster-ready communities under its resilience and emergency preparedness programs.
The training was conducted in partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of San Dionisio, PDRRMO Iloilo, and other local partners who continue to support the province’s advocacy for proactive disaster preparedness and community safety.
