ILOILO LAUNCHES ANTI RABIES DRIVE FOR SAFER COMMUNITIES

The Iloilo Provincial Government recently launched its annual anti-rabies vaccination campaign, reinforcing its commitment to public health and animal welfare.

Spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian-Iloilo, the campaign kicked off on February 4, 2025, at the Lambunao Sports Center.

The initiative, supported by the Municipal Agriculture Office of Lambunao, aims to eliminate rabies and protect both humans and animals, with vaccination drives scheduled across the province.

Local leaders, including Lambunao Vice Mayor Arvin L. Losaria, Sangguniang Bayan members, barangay captains, and health workers, expressed their strong support for the campaign, emphasizing its role in preventing rabies-related deaths.

The event also featured insights from Zoetis guest speaker Dr. Rouena Vivien Yonzon on responsible pet ownership.

With the active involvement of the Provincial Rabies Control Committee and various government and private sector partners, the province-wide effort highlights the Iloilo Provincial Government’s unwavering dedication to disease prevention and community safety.
