Members of the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC) and the Provincial Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence against Women and their Children (PCAT-VAWC) hold its 4th Quarter Meeting today, December 6, 2024 at District 21 Hotel.
Human trafficking and violence against women and their children are prevalent issues in our society nowadays which require unity and strength of the community to prevent or stop them from happening.
PCPC and PCAT-VAWC are the leading organizations responsible for the conduct of comprehensive strategic planning in order to establish mechanisms for the protection of women and children from abuse and violence.
The main objective of PCPC-PCAT-VAWC quarterly meeting is to capacitate its members and stakeholders with training to strengthen its organizational responsiveness for a better and improved services. Aside from addressing pressing concerns, they also provide technical assistance and ensure that relevant laws are implemented.
The theme of this year’s celebration of the National Children’s Month is, “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines.
The Iloilo Provincial Government through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and its partner agencies are calling for support and unity in advocating the rights and welfare of women and children.
