The Provincial Nutrition Committee Technical Working Group held its second quarter meeting on May 30, 2023, at the Blue Room, Casa Real de Iloilo.
The meeting was presided by Provincial Health Officer I and incoming Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Wendel Tupas-Marcelo.
The Committee sought the commitment of its members in the conduct of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro in selected cities and municipalities for the month of June.
The evaluation will be held in the following city/towns: Passi City (June 1); Ajuy (June 7); Leganes (June 13); Santa Barbara (June 14); Cabatuan (June 15); Oton (June 16); Batad (June 20); Miagao (June 21); Leon (June 22); and Lemery (June 23).
The members and partner agencies also presented their accomplishments and other nutrition-related activities for the first quarter of 2023.
Provincial Health Officer and National Outstanding Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Maria Socorro Quiñon thanked the members for their continued cooperation and support of the nutrition programs of the province.
“Let’s do this better. Let us make this better for the betterment of the nutrition situation of the province,” Quiñon said.
