Residents of Barangay Macatol in Pototan can soon expect easier access to safe and reliable water as a new water system project gets underway in the village.
The project is expected to benefit 47 households by providing a dependable supply of clean water for daily needs, helping families improve sanitation, hygiene, and overall health.
Funded through the Governor’s Fund for C.Y. 2025, the initiative includes deep well development, construction of an elevated reinforced concrete water tank, and the installation of electrical and plumbing systems for efficient water distribution.
Barangay Macatol is a rural village in Pototan, about 3 to 4 kilometers north of the town proper and roughly 30 kilometers from Iloilo City.
