The Municipality of Badiangan will soon have a building dedicated to building resilient families and empowering the youth.
Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. led the groundbreaking of the P5 million Family and Youth Development Center (FYDC) on December 8, 2025 which is a sideline of the Kasanag sa Paskwa 2025.
The governor was joined by Third District Rep. Lorenz Defensor, Vice Governor Lee Ann Debuque, Third District Board Member Mark Palabrica, Mayor Suzette Mamon, Vice Mayor Cylas Jun Nobleza, Provincial Population Officer Atty. Ruel Von Superio, and the Sangguniang Bayan members.
Also present are Mayor Rey Grabato of Mina, Mayor Adi Lazaro of Pototan, and Vice Mayor Arvin Losaria of Lambunao.
Governor Defensor said the FYDC will serve as a home to the population and development programs of the province.
The 2-storey facility will serve as a venue for Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) sessions and a training site for youth and youth-related programs.
It will also provide a space for the Population Program Officer assigned in Badiangan and the Barangay Service Point Officers (BSPOs).
It will also serve cater the Local Youth Development Office, Office/Session Hall of the Sangguniang Kabataan, and the Local Youth Development Council Office.
