06 JULY 2023 - Gov. Toto Defensor together with Provincial Administrator Raul Banias visited the water system project in Sitio Dagaan, a mountainous area of Barangay Polopiña in the municipality of Concepcion.

Under its Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project, the Iloilo provincial government funded the improvement of the water system through the installation of solar panels and other support facilities which cost P1.145 million.

From the shoreline of Sitio Sanggutan, reaching Sitio Dagaan would take a one-hour walk.  A total of 54 households reside in the area and benefit from a cheaper source of potable water.

Earlier that day, the governor also led the groundbreaking ceremony of the P12.845 million Solar-Powered Potable Water System at Sitio Danao-Danao.
