POURING OUT LOVE FOR NEW LUCENA

On Valentine’s Day, Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. shared the love with the people of New Lucena as he led the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of his two major infrastructure projects which aim to uplift the lives of the residents.

Governor Defensor spearheaded the formal opening of the 4.45-kilometer Baclayan-Damires Road worth nearly P50 million. The concreting project was implemented by the Provincial Engineer’s Office and is designed to improve connectivity and reduce travel time.

The municipality of New Lucena is also a recipient of a P5 million Family and Youth Development Center. This is the third FYDC building currently being built through the Provincial Population Office. The facility serves as a hub for fostering harmonious family ties and empowering the youth.

Joining the governor in both events are Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville, Vice Mayor Isabelo Accolador, municipal and barangay officials, Provincial Engineer Romeo Andig,  Provincial Population Officer Atty. Ruel Von Superio, Anilao Mayor Lee Ann Debuque as representative of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, and Barangay Service Point Officers, among others.

The local officials expressed their gratitude and support to the governor for the positive impact of the projects on the town’s development.
