Former Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio has arrived at the Casa Real de Iloilo and was welcomed by Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr.
Carpio will deliver a timely lecture on the sovereign rights of the Philippines over the West Philippine Sea.
The lecture coincides with a landmark legislation recently passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Iloilo. The I-LOVE West Philippine Sea Ordinance, authored by Board Member Rolando B. Distura and sponsored by Board Member Jason R. Gonzales, will integrate lessons on the West Philippine Sea in basic education curriculum.
