PRIME TIME YOUTH LEADERS TURN IDEAS INTO ACTION

The second session of the PRIME TIME: Youth Leadership Camp was successfully conducted on August 1, 2026, at the Mina Municipal Hall, bringing together 4Ps Youth Leaders from the municipalities of Pavia, Pototan, and Mina for another meaningful day of learning and collaboration.

Building on the leadership foundations established during the first session, participants were introduced to the PRIME (Program for Resilience of Iloilo in Mind and Emotion), equipping them with knowledge on mental health promotion, psychosocial support, and available community-based services.

The orientation emphasized the important role of youth in promoting mental wellness, reducing stigma, and connecting individuals to appropriate support.

The highlight of the activity was the planning and pitching of youth-led community projects, where participants transformed their ideas into concrete action plans that respond to the needs of their respective communities.

Through teamwork, creativity, and innovation, the young leaders showcased their commitment to creating safe, resilient, and mentally healthy spaces for fellow youth.

This activity forms part of the continuing partnership among the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Iloilo, DSWD Field Office VI, the Local Government Units of Pavia, Pototan, and Mina, and the U.S. Peace Corps, reaffirming a shared commitment to empowering the next generation of community leaders.
